Terms of Service

No legal entity has been registered yet. These terms are provided as a statement of intended operation. The operator must supply the entity name, address, and jurisdiction before these terms bind anyone. Until then, this service is provided on an experimental basis without contractual obligation.

1. Service description

Siteicons is a diagnostic tool that checks a URL's declared favicon and touch icons and reports whether each one exists, its format, and its real pixel dimensions. It does not require an account, does not store data, and does not process or retain personal information.

2. Acceptance

By using Siteicons, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

3. Use of service

You may use Siteicons to diagnose any URL you own or have permission to test. You may not use it to probe websites without authorization or to launch denials of service against third-party servers.

The service is rate-limited to prevent abuse. Excessive or automated use may be blocked without notice.

4. Billing and payments

No payment processor is connected. Siteicons cannot accept real payments today. The Pro plan is not yet available for purchase. All checkout forms on the site are demonstrations only — no card data is sent, stored, or processed. Once a payment processor (Stripe) is connected, this section will describe the actual billing terms.

Pro plan price. The Pro plan is priced at $12 per month (USD). This covers batch URL checks, saved check history, scheduled recurring checks, webhook notifications, and API access — as described on the pricing page.

Billing period. Pro subscriptions will be billed monthly in advance. The first charge occurs at the time of subscription. Subsequent charges occur on the same calendar day each month. If a month lacks that day, the charge occurs on the last day of the month.

Failed payments. If a payment fails (card declined, expired, insufficient funds, or processor error), the subscription enters a grace period of 7 days. During this period the service continues uninterrupted. Up to 3 retry attempts are made automatically — at 24 hours, 72 hours, and 7 days after the initial failure. If payment has not succeeded after 7 days, the subscription is downgraded to the Free plan and Pro features are suspended. The customer's check history is retained for 30 days after downgrade before being deleted.

Refund policy. Refunds are issued at the operator's discretion. Because Pro is a digital service with immediate feature access, refunds will generally be considered only for billing errors (double charges, incorrect amounts) or if the service is materially non-functional during the billing period. Subscription cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — no pro-rata refunds for partial months unless caused by operator error.

Cancellation. Subscribers may cancel at any time from their account dashboard. After cancellation, Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period, then reverts to the Free plan.

Taxes. Pro plan prices are exclusive of any applicable sales tax, VAT, or similar charges. If the operator is required to collect such taxes, they will be added to the price at checkout and remitted to the appropriate authority.

5. Data and privacy

Siteicons does not create accounts, set cookies, or retain any submitted data. Each check is ephemeral — the URL, the fetched page, and the icon responses exist only in memory for the duration of the API call and are discarded immediately after the response is returned.

6. Intellectual property

Siteicons itself (the tool, its code, its visual design) is the property of the operator. No license is granted to reproduce, modify, or redistribute the service.

All trademarks, site icons, and brand assets belonging to third parties remain the property of their respective owners.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

Siteicons is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The operator does not guarantee that the tool will function without interruption or that its reports are accurate for all configurations of web servers, CDNs, or icon formats.

The Cloudflare Workers platform cannot reach hosts that are themselves behind Cloudflare — this is a platform limitation, not a fault of the tool. Sites fronted by Cloudflare will report as unreachable.

8. Limitation of liability

In no event shall the operator be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use this service, including but not limited to reliance on diagnostic results that may be incomplete or inaccurate due to platform limitations.

9. Changes to terms

These terms may be updated at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing law

To be determined once a legal entity and jurisdiction are established. No governing law is claimed at this time.
